WeSendit File Transfer: How It Works and What You Need to Know
Our free service enables you to effortlessly transfer data with a capacity of up to 2 GB, which you can efficiently utilize. This feature allows you to share data of any kind, whether PDFs, DOC files, JPGs, PNGs, or other file formats, with your friends and business partners. The file transfer is and will always remain completely free. However, if you wish to get more out of your options, there is the option to register for a WeSendit account.
There are two methods for transferring your data with WeSendit. This article outlines the key differences between them, but regardless of which way you choose, your transfers will go as smoothly and seamlessly as possible from A to B. For a generous start, we recommend our Starter Trial, where you can test all Pro and Business features for free for 14 days and send up to 5 GB of data without any delay.
We will now explain to you, in a few simple steps, how easy it is to use the file transfer function:
Add Files or Folders for your transfer:

You can simultaneously add up to 3,000 files for email or 5,000 for Link as a transfer option.

The following file types: PDFs, DOC files, JPGs, PNGs, and many other file formats are available for transfer.

You can observe the structure and files of the added folder and even delete one file or several if needed.
Please note that if you try to create a transfer from your mobile phone using cloud services (OneDrive, iCloud, Google Drive) with features like "files on demand", it probably can take a while until it will be uploaded to our platform. Files on-Demand store your files in the cloud and display a link on your phone. Hence, before you can upload these files to WeSendit, the files must be downloaded first.

Public user 2GB
Starter user up to 5 GB
Basic Subscriber is up to 5 GB
Pro Subscriber is up to 200 GB
Business Subscriber is UNLIMITED
Email Transfers
Enter the recipient's email address. You can transmit data to up to 3 recipients as a non-registered user. Provide your sender's address, optionally a subject for your transfer, and a message for your recipient. When you click the Upload button. For security reasons, as a public user, you have to verify your email before the transfer will be sent, and then it will be sent to your recipients. You will receive a delivery confirmation.
Please note that you need to verify your email address as a sender with a one-time-password (OTP). We verify this to make sure, the transfers sent through WeSendit will not be threaded as spam. Hence, to project the recipients.
Setting for Email Transfer
Would you like to personalize your transfer? Open the Setting menu and change it according to your needs:

You can choose the "Validity Period" from the options - up to seven days, and the time will be limited for the recipient's access to the files. Pro & Business Subscriber can select the "Never Expires" option. Note that never expiring Transfers will be counted to your storage space consumption.

If you want to receive a notification for each download of the files, you can also set it for your transfer. We will then email you, each time, a recipient from your list downloads the files.

For added security, you can Enter a password to protect the download, which the recipient should enter before downloading. As an upcoming feature, you can reset your password if you have a paid plan, but do not change the password after the transfer is sent.

Another upcoming feature that we provide, we propose you to schedule your transfer: Your recipients of the file transfer will receive the email message with the link to it on the specified date at the specified time. - for Subscribers only.

As a registered user, WeSendit offers many more options, and you have complete control over your data. You can view and track your data transfers through the transfer history. Link Transfers
After uploading your data, add a title to your submission, and following the encrypted upload, you will receive a link to copy, which you can share with your recipients. You can use the link in emails or every other content you like. Please take care of the expiration date of your transfer. However, please note that you do not enter email addresses with link transfers, so you need to ensure that the link is correctly sent after we upload it. To share the files with your intended recipient, simply copy the generated download link. If you have a paid subscription, you can also grab your link from your transfer history later on.
Settings for Link transfer
To change between the transfer options, choose the Link on the left side of the navigation.
The possibilities for sending files or folders via a link are less comprehensive than sending via the email option. We do not provide notice for each download of the files; it will also be impossible to set a schedule for sending. However, you can also:
